Daily Sulfur Market Review

Domestic sulfur prices show mixed trends

Domestic sulfur prices saw mixed movements today. Major refineries in Shandong, North China, and the Northwest continued to withhold quotes, while local refineries adjusted their selling prices—with some rising and others falling—by margins of 90–320 yuan/tonne; refineries in other regions largely refrained from quoting prices. Domestic sulfur prices are expected to fluctuate at high levels in the short term.

Port sulfur prices declined today. Amid a lack of reliable market indicators, industry players are largely adopting a cautious "wait-and-see" approach, resulting in sluggish trading activity; existing inquiries are focused on low-price procurement, prompting holders to adjust selling prices under pressure, which has driven down port prices. Port sulfur prices are expected to fluctuate at high levels in the short term.
