Aluminum Sulfate

Aluminum sulfate is a white orthorhombic crystalline powder, readily soluble in water, with an acidic aqueous solution. It is primarily used as a high-efficiency industrial water purification flocculant and a sizing and precipitating agent in the paper industry. It forms precipitates by adsorbing suspended solids in water and is widely used in drinking water purification and wastewater treatment. It is also used in papermaking, fire-fighting foam, pharmaceutical astringents, and agricultural soil improvement.
