The domestic spot market for liquid caustic soda is currently weak; major alumina producers in Shandong lowered their purchase prices for 32% ion-exchange membrane caustic soda by 10 yuan/tonne starting June 30.

Prices in the North China and Shandong regions are soft due to reduced downstream purchasing prices and insufficient follow-through on new orders, with some quotes continuing to decline. Prices in East China remain generally stable; while there are expectations of recovering regional supply, demand remains lackluster. Prices in other regions are holding steady. Regarding liquid chlorine, prices have dropped due to reduced downstream consumption, whereas alumina prices continue to rise; overall prices are expected to remain stable in the short term.
